I have returned today from india
The immigration at DTW airport gave me a tough time
They were not happy about the fact that i Canadian green card
They advice me to surrened it and said it does not satisfy the US and does not not convince them that a person is trying to adjust status and holding a canadian green card
He said he made notes and will keep an eye on my case and adviced me 2nd time to surrender the card and keep paperwork for proof to prove the US authorities
I Have travelled at least 6 times on Advance parole and always had Canadian Immigration stamp on my passport (i have not travelled to canada after getting my Pr card in Oct 2008)
Pls advice

Trying to get my green card (11 Years in the waiting) .
My I-140 was denied / and we have applied for Motion to Reopen . in the meantime, i have my AP approved this 2011. can i switch employer.

I have got an RFE for my I-485 application. . I missed to complete a question (part3 and question #10) in I-485 form for which I got a request for evidence letter from USCIS. Can anyone has any template on how i should reply. Your help is much appreciated . Thanks in advance

Therefor submit an affidavit with your answer to this question a 'Yes' or 'No' response.

I am working on H1b visa and changed job mid of last year. I got my H1B visa and stamping and is valid till September 2010 . Now I changed my job and has another H1b visa and I 94 which is valid till 2012.
I am going to Canada to get Visa stamped and want to know if I will be allowed to come back to US even if my request gets denied.
And what will happen to my old visa ?

Hello,
I am on a H1B with company A. I've been offered a job with company B which is currently processing my H1 transfer paperwork. I had accepted the offer letter from company B and had submitted all my papers for H1B transfer.
The starting date in the company B is 20th Nov as per offer letter. Now I had decided to stay back with the company A (by 18th Nov) before joining the company B. Is there any issue by doing so?

I am not sure if its a new rule to get an NOC from the husband, but as far as i know NOC is required only for Govt Employees. Make sure you really need one for getting a passport for an individual. If your wife is a Govt Employee then she may need one from the Govt/Office where she works.
