Forget about LIFO or FIFO, this year EB2 won't be getting enough visa's from spill-over. They would be giving majority of spill-over to EB3-ROW/I/C and EB2 would be getting very small fraction. And how's that is possible for that they would play around the law ( by making EB2 current).

Although 30,000 people are IV members but when you need them except a couple of hundred you don't see anyone.
How can an organization work which can't even collect 5K a month from its members. We all are willing to spend hundreds ( sometimes thousands ) of dollars on EAD, AP , H1, labor, I-140, I-485, lawyers etc etc and don't even spend 100$ a year (yes not month - a year).

I beg to differ here. 30k+ plus people have signed up so far, but how many are active now? How many have even logged in IV in last 3 months or even 6 months? I don't see any link to discontinue membership here, so we don't know how many people up signed up and left?
There is no way to know count of "active members". Many IV members have got GC in last 2 years and they have "quitely" left IV and forgotten the struggle by EB based immigrants. How many members stay at IV after getting GC?
Many people believe that by getting EAD they are Temp GC holders and motivation for seeking any benefit is gone.
I am pained to say this, but we are a thankless community.

We applied in Nebraska in August 2003, Cleared in State on August 29th 2003, Transferred to Chicago DOL on Sept 1st 2003..Got Certfied on Oct 16th 2003...So yes..in some states Labor was VERY Quick.

I did my part and called the Missouri Senator office. They said they will pass the message. I am not sure how effective it will be. But I will continue my efforts regardless. We come from a country where Gandhi got us independence through non-violence. I believe it is in our blood.

Gurus, my I-140 petition is pending due to Retrogression.Any idea what would be the scenario when the Pending cases at the Philadelphia Backlog Elimination Centre come through? what i am trying to find here is how many of these cases would be Pre June 2002 ?As per my research,majority of Cases at the Philadelphia centre are post June 2002.

I am trying to pay thru PNC Bank. When trying to add IV, there are 2 options. One is With number and the second Without number.

From Sept 2008 visa bulletin: "The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are “unavailable” for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September."

EB2-I PD announcement, which is a black hole coincided with CERN Big Bang Machine. After watching History Channel (they explained details, how this CERN Colloider can create dark matters and black hole) in mid night, PD announcment turned morning bad.
USCIS is as chaotic as Big Bang and its announcements hits like Black Hole.
It was so bad news, that I could not see any further, what is happening to others.

Did you have unexpired H1B / I-94? In my case I am on EAD / pending I-485 / AOS (expired H1 / I-94) & BOA didn't approve.
Do you know any one who didn't have H1B / I-94 but got loan from BOA based on AOS?
yes, i had an unexpired h1b/i-94. yes, i do have friends who were not on h1b/i-94 and still got approved from boa. for some reason, i believe, its pretty much the agent who handles your case decides on these issues. i remem' for one or two things which are supposed to be important, my agent asked me not to worry about and i dont think i gave him a copy of my h1b visa either.

I'm on H1 and my wife is on H4. We have both got our EADs and have visa stamps till Jun 2010.
Can my wife switch to the EAD status and start working even though I remain on H1 status till my visa expiry? Is this allowed?
If yes, then can she travel on AP while I'm still on H1 visa?
If we're both re-entering the US, can the IO ask why is the spouse on EAD/AP and not the primary applicant?

A# is not a visa number but a file # assigned to each individiual applying for permanent immigration.
Visa number is something that is not visible to the petitioner but a way to count of how many visa are issued for the various categories by the DoS.
Pardon my intrusion here! I searched various forums but I couldn't get any solid threads on visa number because it is so common term the search always yields wrong threads! so can some one tell me..what is a visa number after filing 485? is it same a A # ? or is there another number besides A#? Do we see it on 485 reciept? if not how do I find out? I
