I agree with the above posts, they are stealing money by having stupid charges. Why do you need to charge a customer Rs.400 for changing his account password. It is absolutely ridiculous! Compare that to a bank in US, you just go online and change the password. Also, they have 2 passwords one called Account password to login to the account and another called Transaction password for making any transactions. So the more number of passwords you have the more you tend to forget either of them and they can charge you Rs.400 for each password reset!:mad:

Looking at the recent approvals looks like USCIS does the following:
1. Pick up x number of files using a random algorithm.
2. Arrange these files in a random order using the same random algorithm
followed in step 1.
3. Randomly pick any file arranged in step 2.
4. Toss a coin.
5. On odd dates if it is heads,approve the file. On even dates if it is tails
approve it.
6. If file is not approved in step 5 put it on the shelf to be picked up
in step 1 in next cycle.
For Disclaimers: on step (1), x is also a random number, and the coin used on step (4) by USCIS may sometimes have neither tail nor head..:D

He is in L1 visa holder (and Sundeep therefore is an L2 visa holder). After arriving in the USA, the business sponsored Sundeep�s Dad for employment-based permanent residency as managing director. Sundeep and his Mother were derivatives on this application. The petition was ultimately approved and Sundeep and his family adjusted status thereafter before he turned 21. Sundeep eventually became a citizen and does various jobs.
Jack and Mary�s parents are E-2 visa holders. Their business is a large grocery store, which employs over 25 employees on both a full-time and part-time basis. The store is rented, but the business is very successful and is worth about $450,000.
Jack has graduated high school and is very ambitious. His dream was to go to the University of Michigan. Unfortunately he was not eligible for a full scholarship because most scholarships available are only for permanent residents and citizens. Fortunately, he gained a partial football scholarship to play for the Michigan Wolverines. His Parent�s pay for the remaining tuition thanks to their successful business. If a child is approaching 21 or has already passed 21, he or she may apply for a course of study in a US school or college. For academic studies the F1 visa would provide a solution. For vocational studies the M1 visa would provide a solution. However, even with this, there might be a problem for a person who left their US home and has gone back to their country or residence or citizenship because they have turned 21. Sometimes this is referred to colloquially as the �home country,� which is an insulting turn of phrase for a person who has spent most of their life in the USA, and therefore will be referred to in this article as country or citizenship or residence.
To be eligible for most nonimmigrant visas (i.e. those that do not have dual intent or similar status) a person generally has to prove ties with their country of citizenship or residence. Specifically he or she has to prove at the time of applying for the visa (including M1 or F1 visas) that he or she:

2. Has no immediate intention of abandoning that residence; and

Even more unfortunate, the employer was unwilling to sponsor Jack with an employment-based permanent residency petition.

Knowing this, he can apply for a Fulbright scholarship and will likely be ones and successful so that his tuition fees and living expenses are paid for in full. However, the terms state he must return on completion of his degree. If this fails Jack, in applying for an F1 visa, has to prove he can pay for and in fact has the funds to pay for the degree and the living expenses and so would have to wait until he is able obtain this money somehow. This is particularly onerous when you consider a law degree at the above listed law schools costs approximately or more than $35,000 in tuition fees each year alone.
The Need for Reform for the Children
Legislation should be enacted to enable those specified above to also apply for permanent residence. Jack would not receive any benefit under the upcoming comprehensive immigration reform to apply directly and on his own behalf for permanent residency. For a country that has educated Jack from the beginning (through the taxes of Americans and other residents) it is strange that:
* He is not allowed to live in his home with his friends and family automatically;
* The USA invested so many resources in the development and cultivation of Jack�s talents (tens of thousands of dollars in fact), but Jack is unable to automatically return to give back for his achievements such as through taxes on a potentially high income; and
* The UK has taken the direct benefit, since Jack works in the USA, without having spent any money on his education and development.
The bottom line is immigration needs to be comprehensive, not only to promote family reunification, but also to ensure the USA does not lose out on the best talent in an increasingly competitive global economy.

Ironically, the DREAM Act (The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act) is currently a Bill pending in US Congress (and is incorporated in the STRIVE Act), which would provide wide ranging help to illegal immigrant students. Clarification - i meant Senior Member based on seniority on this Site and not based on age :). This idea has been brain stormed many times in the past and ruled out by many as it is not in our best interests and also not workable. Members who have been visting this site for some time would know and hence the comment about Seniority :)

from what i have gathered it seems that if USCIS issues a RFE or calls u for interview during adjucation they might ask for 2 yrs of tax filings of future employer to prove that it's an established company (although they are not suppposed to bring up 'ability to pay' issue which is already covered in approved 140 -- but being USCIS anything goes...).
i also wondered about the conflict of interest becoz it's your relative that u clearly identified in your G325 (Biographic) form -- but I guess if ppl are doing it then it's possible.
Ok. Now lets say I have EAD cards for me (primary applicant) and my wife. I can now have my wife start a company and have a job position similar to where I work. Now after 180 days, can I work for my wife's company invoking AC21 with my EAD??:D
and so when an RFE comes from USCIS , can this be shown as the similar job offer?
Really speaking, The USCIS only wants a promise of employment when they are adjudicating form 485 saying that I will be given a job after I get my green card:). So can I literally work anywhere for any job using my EAD until green card gets fully approved as long as I have a promise of employment (by my wife's company)? :p
Ofcourse i am risking the chance of being out of status if my 485 gets denied. i just want to make sure it wont get denied because the "similar job" offer is from my relatives (wife's) company.

Another soft LUD on the 485 on 11/26.
This is the 3rd soft LUD on the 485 (11/24, 11/25, 11/26) post sending AC21 and G28N documentation.
485 status still says Case received and Pending.
I hope this isn't followed by a denial, I have to travel outside the country in 2 weeks and it would be nice to not have to worry about this.

Thank you! I have sent them my I-140 and 485 and also past and present EADs to show that this is something that needs to be renewed every 2 years.

I am still on H1 (not utilized EAD), the visa on my passport expired last year. Planning to visit India next week, should I be getting a visa stamped or use AP?

I know someone with PD EB3-I 2003 March who got his GC today.
Come on now, dont create another rumour....our brothers in EB3- I 2003 would all be excited ....but after few weeks they will know the truth and get disappointed.....Just think practically whether this is possible....
One example....just think....a week before April Bulletin was released.....there was lot of positive thought/wibes going around thinking EB2/EB3-I india (due to LUDs) would have a Huge jump forward.....well, everyone knows by now.....how it all went..........
Come on now, dont create another rumour....our brothers in EB3- I 2003 would all be excited ....but after few weeks they will know the truth and get disappointed.....Just think practically whether this is possible....

I understand your frustration. Since there is no spillover in the first quarter of new fiscal year, it was expected that PD would move back. How can you you expect 2006 PD for Oct when there is no spillover visa numbers.
Next year Jul-Sep 2009, PD should move to mid 2006 again.
My 2 cents.
Again on Next yr Jul 09-Sep 09 the DOS move the dates to Mid 2006 or Early 2007 and then the ineffiicient USCIS approve the cases with later PD's and leave the Older PD case
Until USCIS fix their system, it will be very hard , The Whole thing is unpredictable and much harder than winning a Power ball or mega million lotterry
