thus one can say lack of social security numbers for spouse and kids of a high skilled immigrant waiting for gc causes sevaral administrative and taxation issues.
Please also note:
Gor GC waiters, the child tax credit will not be available for kids under age 1.
In Oct 2004, my kid was 6 months when she landed in US.
When she was 9 months in Jan 2005, I tried to include her in my tax returns but IRS said I can not include her until she becomes one year old.
This year 2006, I could include her after getting her an ITIN.
In short, child taxation issue is there only for one year at the maximum.

Hey guys,
My name is Debasish and I live in Santa Monica near UCLA. I think we all should get together and do something to mobilize our chapter here in So-Cal area. We all know that there are a lot of people who are on H1B and have applied for their GC. But they are waiting....
For myself, I have applied for my GC and still waiting for the I-140. Don't know what they are doing in the TSC???
So the idea should be to get them invloved...Somebody has rightly put it that we do not have a collective voice and that's why we are ignored...
Hope you guys understand...
I think we should start collecting database of people who have applied for their GC and waiting.
If you have any input on this, I will gladly hear it...

You are right, Ramesh, sadly people have time to check for Bill updates and get their spirits down with amendment removal news but no time to get more friends to join or contribute. Please wake up people and contribute, and persuade your friends / colleagues at work you know to join IV. I got a weird response (chat) from a close friend saying she would rather donate to Myanmar/ China victim that her own Immigration cause, but I haven't given up, I will try to persuade such friends even though that raised my B.P. I don't know but I'm scared now....My attorney is filing 140 this week and I was planning on premium processing.

There was a campaign on wrongful denial in AC21 , there was also letter campaign not sure what happened after that ? It was IV action item too... What was the conclusion ? should we all suffer even if it is a training issue, if they act such nice on letters , then why they act as if there is no form and if AC21 is for real aliens from a real alien world.

Please make more noise on these kinds of issues concerned with I-140 withdrawls and I-485 denials, as this is becoming more and more apparent. Write blogs, spread in forums, write news letters. Go to your local congressman's office and make them aware of the situation. My local congresswoman's office is under the impression that my case is unique, but I am trying to convince them that this is wide spread by sending them the links of Ombudsman etc.,
We need to increase the awareness.
We do not want to get to a point where we may not utilize AC21 properly.

I have been asked to send ADIT photographs not computer photographs?
Anybody knows what ADIT means???

I just read that ADIT photographs used to be the norm till 2004,is it changing again from passport style photos to ADIT?The RFE I received for my AP clearly asking for ADIT photographs.Now where do I get these ADIT photographs???Any ideas.URGENT Please.

I do not support this donor ONLY idea.
Also, Day 1, the FOIA initiative had a goal of $5K.
And without reason, the goal was increased to $10K.
So, pappu should not complain of not reaching the goal when he keeps increasing the goal.

I told my American friend about how unfair the new bill is to people like us. She wants to help and also asks her parents to contact their senator in different state. Because they only don't like illegal immigrants.
My attorney's web site has his comment. He thinks this unreasonable bill can't be passed.
I'll call senators and congressmen in my state Monday as well as editors working for leading newspaper in my area.
American dream was what drawn us here: a belief you can live a good life if you work hard, being creative and receive advanced education. I think the reason why America has become the strongest country is more than one-hundred year's hard work and contribution from generations' immigrants. A continued inflow of warm blood, creativity and hard working is the guarantee that America will remain strong. What this bill is doing is to bring evil spirit to America. Law-abiding, being good person, trustworthy, hard-working virtues do not fit into this country's culture anymore. Being illegal, breaking the law and not paying taxes are encouraged by government.
I am very sad to see this bill being proposed. I love the old American spirits and love the people here. The bill told me to no longer hold faith in their system.
God bless us all and God bless America!

USCIS can process recaptured numbers. If 200k numbers are in one year USCIS will plan for 200k numbers in that year.In 2000 they processed more applications after a immigration reform. One way of preventing wastage is plan to process all the applications in 11 months. If any unused numbers can be processed in that one month.

If LC is stuck in BEC at this time, but the person has a new PERM+140 from a different location and applies 485.
